I want to buy a iMac 27″, but not sure which one and when I look at some of them, they really expensive. Now I found one guy his selling them for like half the normal price almost, but not sure if its a scam, I am from Cape Town and his in Johannesburg. I can get the iMac from R 5000 – 8500, that’s almost my biggest limited.

I am just sick of my Microsoft getting malware and spyware drones, updating security doesn’t work, wane upgrade my PC.

PLEASE HELP

@Sarah, right click on a locked file in your trash and choose “Get info”. Under “General” there’s a “Locked” checkbox – untick it…and you’re good to go! The shortcut for “Get info” is Apple+I and if you’d like to do it on multiple files, use Apple+alt+I

Hey,
I deleted some music files from an external hard drive and now I cant remove them from my trash because it says that the files are locked… Do you know how I would go about fixing this? Or can u suggest who I can speak to in Cape Town???
PLEASE can you Help??

@Lew: your best best is to phone Telkom – they’re usually pretty good at helping you connect laptops to the internet. It’s probably best if you’re plugged directly into the modem using a network cable. Then you need to configure the modem – something like http://10.0.0.2 with username ‘admin’ password ‘admin’ usually gets you into the modem. Then you need to setup your Telkom ADSL username and password inside the modem config. Then save and restart the modem. Only then you’ll be able to connect to the internet.

Cant seem to connect ibook G4 to my telkom adsl. driving me mad as I need to set up the vox Phone.
Please if you know of any Mac tech in Durban who can sort this out I would be extremely grateful.

@Teekay: ja, “authentic Apple” RAM is more expensive than generic RAM…but the good news is, memory is memory. So if you get the right spec’d memory, it’ll work fine – just phone up your nearest computer store

Coool site dude… I have been using mac for 8months now and I’m not planning on going back but my problem is that I find their ram a bit expensive, can you tell me why is that? and if you know where I can find it cheaper plz let me know…
