Spartacus is an exciting video slot game with a difference. Williams (WMS) Gaming has created this slot machine based on the Thracian Gladiator who was a military leader during the Roman Empire. Spartacus certainly won the hearts of many, at least in the movie.

The opening video is fun as it shows the background and the theme, but more exciting is the winnings you can obtain.

This slot is very different from the usual setup with two side by side set reels. One of the sets of reels has 5 reels and 4 rows and the other is 5 with 12 rows. All of the symbols are based on gladiators and Spartacus. There is a shield, love interest, and swords for the high paying symbols. There is also the card symbols for the lower values.

One of the most important symbols is the Coliseum because it unlocks a lot of the entertaining qualities this slot machine has. It will appear on the 1, 3, and 5 reels. It also appears on the main and colossal reel, so that you obtain winning combinations.

Spartacus will provide pay outs through wild symbols. The wild symbol will complete a winning combination, which at least gives you a pay out on an active pay line that would not have happened before.

Williams Gaming built this slot machine to have expanding wilds, this means the wild will take over the screen, move on to the Colossal reel and make even better payouts.

Spartacus does have bonus features including free spins. Players can earn up to 20 free spins, but it is based on the number of scatter symbols that appear on the reels. With the free spins you have up to 20 times multipliers. The highest pay out is 1,250 coins, which is attainable with the max bet. It is also awarded in the denomination of coins that you use, so 1,250 coins times your local currency.
